HABITAT ORLANDO RECEIVES $40,000 IN PLEDGED PRO BONO SERVICES FROM AKERMAN SENTERFITT

Orlando, Fla. – Akerman Senterfitt, the largest law firm in Florida, recently joined the ongoing community effort to support Staghorn Villas, Habitat for Humanity Orlando’s first-ever townhome community. The firm will provide pro bono legal assistance for Staghorn Villas’ condominium documents – the equivalent of $40,000 in services.

Nancy Campiglia, an Orlando-based partner at Akerman Senterfitt practicing in real estate, condominium law, and residential and commercial condominium creation, will oversee the pro bono work. She is a longtime supporter of Habitat Orlando, and Akerman supports Habitat for Humanity in several locations nationwide.

“As one of Central Florida’s most productive home builders, Habitat Orlando uses valuable land efficiently, keeps housing affordable and provides families the opportunity to rebuild and grow together,” said Campiglia. “Akerman Senterfitt is proud to play a role in the Staghorn Villas venture – a building initiative that will strengthen the community and help our neighbors begin a new chapter of their lives.”

Dee Danmeyer, executive director of Habitat Orlando, added: “We appreciate this generous contribution from Nancy Campiglia and the Akerman Senterfitt team. With their support, we are one step closer to helping families fulfill the American Dream of homeownership.”

Staghorn Villas is an $8 million townhome community that will provide affordable homes for 58 local families. The 3.9-acre development is the first of its kind for Habitat Orlando. The multi-family community will feature 10 buildings, each of which will include four to eight townhomes surrounded by green spaces and play areas.
